Home / Thumbnail for shortcuts does not work on Win 7/8/8.1

I noticed that the thumbnail (or icon) is not generated for shortcuts in Windows 7/8/8.1, but this works on Windows 10, see the screenshot taken in Windows 7.

Note that PowerPoint 2016’s shortcut works even in Windows 7.

Can this be improved?

That’s outside of Sumatra’s control. I’m not sure what Window’s logic is for thumbnails for shortcuts is.
