I want to set Sumatra as the default app to open CBR files in Windows 10, but Settings doesn’t give me that option nor offer the option in the context menu in the “set default by file type.” Can you refer me to the correct procedure…I’m not a techie.

the most reliable way for any supported type PDF CBR etc is shown here Click image twice to make it larger
the location of sumatraPDF.exe may vary from user to user
The one shown here (c:\program files\sumatrapdf) is a common one for most users, however it may be C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\SumatraPDF
