Home / Opening a file opens start page or frequently read page

When I double click on a pdf the startpage opens if ShowStartPage=true. If ShowStartPage=false i get the frequently read page. Where is the setting to make my pdf open instead of these pages?

You can always start over by closing all instances of the program and deleting %AppData%\SumatraPDF\SumatraPDF-settings.txt (after making an optional backup elsewhere if required).

Thanks for responding sumatrapeter, just tried that but no joy. This is what i see when i try to open a file by dbl click on file…

There’s something definitely wrong here. With its default settings Sumatra should display the PDF you’ve tried to open, instead of simply launching and displaying the Frequently Read screen. Can you try uninstalling Sumatra, confirming that %AppData%\SumatraPDF\SumatraPDF-settings.txt is indeed gone, reinstalling the program, then setting it as the default PDF reader via Settings > Options?
