Is it possible to make hyphena-
ted text searchable (in pdf)?
I’m talking just about ignoring hyphen at the end of the line while searching, without any changes to copying.

This is tracked by https://github.com/sumatrapdfreader/sumatrapdf/issues/571.
If you have a PDF that contains such text, it would be great if you would attach it to the above bug (or, if it’s confidential, e-mail me https://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/docs/How-to-submit-bug-reports-c992bbe9c7b14c0eac5b7493228d4ce4.html)
This request is a few years old: find words that are separated by hyphenation. Is there any chance that this request will be met?
One problem with searching for hypens is if they are “hard” / “soft” / real / virtual / em dash / en dash / minus symbol
Whilst often displayed at the trailing edge of a reflowing line they may not realy be a physical object within the stream of text. Thus it would potentially require a seperate monitor just for such broken character streams.
