Home / Get Daily Nag Screen to Install Sumatra PDF

galleherjazz

I love Sumatra PDF, because it opens so many file types, especially ePub files, which seem to be replacing PDF files as the standard. Every day, around 6 p.m., I get a screen with the prompt to install Sumatra PDF. I already have the latest version installed! Why am I getting this nag prompt? Where can I locate the scheduled prompt. In other words, how do I remove it.

By the way, I get a similar install file prompt for WinZip. Just these two. Every day. These prompts are very annoying and I would like to know how to delete them.

Can someone help me, even if I have to go to the registry files?

Can you post a screenshot?
That shouldn’t (and as far as I know, doesn’t) happen.

As requested please provide a screenshot of the update message and confirm your current version as it may help identify if you have a pirate copy.
The help about screen can identify when it is not a standard release by showing any prerelease information

Whenever possible, you should always download software from the original manufacturer’s site (e.g., for WinZip, go to https://www.winzip.com/). To disable its updates reminder see How do I completely disable "Check for Updates"? – WinZip - Knowledgebase
