Home / Copy/(paste) in epub

Hi, epub is basically html format, so why I can’t copy a text to paste it to anywhere…?

This was mentioned a few posts ago in

the search and copy functions are limited to the “fixed” interface
UseFixedPageUI = true

the default is UseFixedPageUI = false
since many ebooks often start along the lines of "no part of this publication may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means, or stored in a database or retrieval system, without the prior written permission of the publisher"
Thus YOU have to override the default

That’s bloody ridiculous.
a) I want my interface the way i already had it set up.
b) Epub is an open format, which is exactly why i use it.
c) Assuming someone else is entitled to more control over my documents than myself is immoral as hell.

“immoral as hell”? Are you bloody serious? Who’s forcing you to use this program anyway if you think simply flipping between interfaces involves you supposedly ceding all control over your documents?
