Can a pdf file be sent protected in an email

Sumatra doesn’t have a feature specifically to protect PDFs.

There are variety of ways to protect PDFs, depending on your exact requirements, but this is out of scope for this forum, which exists to discuss SumatraPDF.

If you opened a protected PDF using the “open” password in SumatraPDF then use the SumatraPDF menu to “send mail” it will/should NOT change the file and the mail recipient will need to know the same password you used.
