Thanks for the swift reply, so I need the latest pre-release build in essence, as I have no options to highlight, annotate or bookmark at present it seems.

Bookmarks are native to the source file so an editor app is needed to make changes.
Favorites are the way to keep ad-hoc control of bookmarking, pre-release has (fragile) experimental support for externalised bookmarking.

Highlighting and limited annotations in pre-release are reasonable enough for basic PDF incremental additions, but it is unpolished.so not included in formal release.
