Home / Adding Corsican translation to SumatraPDF

Patriccollu

Hello,

I appreciate SumatraPDF and I would like to contribute to this project with a new localization language. That’s why I completed the translation in Corsican.

Please can you create a new entry for Corsican language (co) on http://www.apptranslator.org/app/SumatraPDF?

Best regards,
Patriccollu.

Hello,

So far, I’ve not seen any new entry for the Corsican language!

Haven’t you had a chance to create it? Or is it on purpose?

Thanks,
Patriccollu.

it may help to nominate a country code I am guessing that since co is reserved for Columbia that Corsica is best added as fr-co is that agreeable to you both ?

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

This is correct: co is the Country code for Colombia.

Corsican is a Language spoken in Corsica, which is a French region. This is not a Country code.

You can find details on Microsoft Website: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc233967.aspx

The Language codes used for Corsican translations are either ‘co’ or ‘co-FR’.

Thanks,
Patriccollu.

Hello,

Any news about my proposal to provide Corsican language for SumatraPDF?

Thanks,
Patriccollu.

Due to some other issues with another languages the list was updated today
and Corsican should now be available as co

Good Luck

Thanks for the new entry in AppTranslator. I just completed the Corsican translations!

Do you know when this new language will be included in the next version?

kjk

@Patriccollu Thanks for providing Corsican translation.

I’ve made another pre-relase build (https://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/prerelease.html) which should contain this translation.

It’ll be available in all future releases, both official and pre-releases.

Unfortunately I can’t say when the next official release will happen.

Thanks for building so fast this pre-release! I just installed it and checked the translation. I changed some shortcuts and everything looks to be fine now.

For the list of available languages which include their native name, you can use: Corsican (Corsu)
